petrichor

petrichor: “the earthy scent that rises when the first rain falls after a dry spell. That distinct smell you can often sense in the air before the rain has even properly arrived.”

Created during the transition from late summer into autumn, as the days grow shorter and the rain begins to settle in. The painting is driven by a dark, dynamic energy, with deep burgundy reds and different shades of blue.
